When scheduling employees, employee skills are usually used.

The purpose of skills is to set employee competences used in creating work schedules.


For example, according to estimates, the skill Business customers requires 2 employees from 10:00 a.m. till 10:15 a.m. of 1 11 2021. There are 4 employees on the work schedule, but only 2 of them have the skill Business customers. When scheduling, the system will assess the need to cover the workload of the skill Business customers and will schedule employees who have the skill.


Steps to be taken to add a skill for an employee:


1. Click on name and surname in the schedule (to open the employee card)

2. Choose Skills

3. Click + sign next to the note Additional skills


4. Choose skill name from the list in the new window

5. Set the date when the skill is to take effect. Valid till field is optional, if the date when the skill should no longer apply for the employee has not been indicated

6. Click Save


A green success message will inform of a successful step.  


Default job position skills are skills assigned along with the position. Default job position skills cannot be adjusted in the system. If you need to change default job skills, please contact WORKOFO system administrators.


Click X next to the skill (in the list "Additional skills" only) to remove the skill for the employee.
