Having selected a planning point in the top menu bar, the option Budget appears.
Budget allows moving working hours from one month to another based on the workload and the available resources.
This functionality is only relevant if the organisation uses balancing of working hours over a period of several months and cumulative accounting of working time.
For correct budgeting, historical data of the last month or workload forecasts for the balancing period (e.g. a quarter) must be uploaded to the system.
How do I balance working hours?
1. Choose Budget in the top menu
2. Wait for the system to calculate the workload and working hours (may take up to a few minutes).
3. The following actions can be taken in the new window:
3.1. To view and apply the balancing of hours recommended by the system
a) Click Recommend best balancing
b) View system recommendation. If the recommendation looks acceptable, click Save
3.2. Adjust information on holidays, sickness leave or other planned hours
a) Click Regular hours
b) Adjust information as needed in the new window. Having made corrections, click Save.
3.3. Set saving of/ addition to working hours.
a) Click Additional budget
b) Enter hours being saved/ additional hours. Click Save after making changes
Hours saved must be entered with a minus (-) sign
Having applied the selected settings, the system will take them into account when creating a work schedule and will save/add the planned working hours evenly over employees.
NOTA BENE: after making changes, the system will apply them in the planning only having re-ordered the optimisation of work schedules.
